To start off a few weeks ago I got sick, I mean seasonal flu like sick. And that turned into to not wanting to do anything. My sinus headache was so bad I had a migraine and I just didn’t want to do anything for almost two weeks.
Partly because I lost my sense of smell and taste.. and I went into a semi depression. Do you know how horrible it is to eat food and not taste it?
It is bad.
In other news, they canceled the Christmas market here and a few festivals and street fairs that we usually have. We are now under curfew laws and in the yellow zone.
While we are still talking about bad things, the pipes under the sink in the kitchen had a problem.
I almost burnt the Thanksgiving turkey, because the professional oven was registering 100 degrees below what it was cooking at… And I think that is it.
That is enough right? I think so. But, some good things have happened. I have been crocheting a whole lot, and my aunt is teaching me how to knit. I’ve been crocheting since I was a wee girl, thanks to my grandma.
I did go for a hike with a new friend I just met. She lived in England for a long time, and so she speaks awesome English. I like her she’s strong, smart and independent. I was feeling a little crappy, with a hangover from the flu, and she wanted to go for a hike to a place called Punta Larici. And oh my God is it beautiful. About 30 minutes into our ascent up the mountain, my ears popped and my sinuses opened. They have an old saying around here, There is nothing like fresh mountain air. And boy they are right. Ever since then I feel good, really good. In fact the right sinus tract is open but the left is still a little bit stuffed.
On a good note, I have finished the 3 edit corrections from the editor, signed some kind of publishing agreement with a company in America, and finally trying to figure out what I want as the cover of the cookbook.
Also, a picture I had posted in a facebook group called “View From My Window” was selected and Published in the book that they made. It is a beautifully made collection of pictures from “lockdown” or “Quarantine 2020”. https://www.facebook.com/groups/viewfrommywindow/ is the link to the facebook group. And you can purchase the book here: https://viewfrommywindow.world/categorie-produit/books/?lang=en.
And note I do not get any kickbacks from this book. But this book was beautifully put together. You will not be disappointed!
I am going to try to post as much stuff as I can get to today. Here is a list of things to look forward to. (I like to make lists)
- Easy Christmas Tree Skirt Pattern.
- Beautiful Crochet Scarf with pictures and as much instruction as I can.
- How to do Thanksgiving in Italy.
- My Mamma’s Cornbread Dressing
- Buttermilk Cornbread
- Squash Casserole
- Left over Turkey Soup
- Red Velvet Cake.
- Pumpkin Pie from Scratch.
- No Fail Pie crust!
- Macaroni and cheese in the crockpot.
- And maybe more to come, I am drawing a blank of everything else.
Now I need to upgrade the ram on my PC, because it is slow (only 2 years old) but some of the medical software I run on it is slow as molasses on a cold day. I bought some more SDRam for it, which should do the trick.
Then I will get to posting some things here.
