Easy Air Fryer Chicken
This is a go-to recipe for fried chicken in the air fryer! The chicken is crispy, crunchy and packed full of flavor!
Ingredients
For the marinade:
- 2 lbs bone-in skin-on chicken pieces
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/4 cup hot sauce
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
For the breading:
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- olive oil for spraying
Instructions
- In a large Ziplock bag, combine buttermilk, hot sauce, and spices.
- Add chicken and mix to combine.
- Seal up the bag and marinate up to 24 hours or you can use right away.
- In a medium bowl, whisk the flour and spices for breading.
- Dredge chicken in the flour mixture and press flour on the top chicken to form a thick crust.
- Transfer chicken to air fryer pan in a single layer without overlapping.
- Generously spray chicken with oil. Set the Air fryer to 375F and the timer to 30 minutes and start.
- Flip the chicken half way through while cooking and lightly spray the other side with oil.
- Continue cooking for 15 minutes or until chicken is golden and the internal temperature reaches 165F.
- Repeat with the remaining chicken as needed.
