My Favorite Chocolate Chip Cookies
These are a timeless classic in my house. I love chocolate chip cookies! Make these and they will be gone in an instant!
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup butter
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cups milk chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup pecans or walnuts chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs, beating well.
- Then stir in the vanilla.
- Combine the flour, baking soda and salt, and stir into the batter.
- Finally, fold in the chocolate chips and nuts (optional).
- Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheets.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until light brown.
- Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Enjoy warm and with milk!
