Crockpot Creamy Pork Roast, with apples and carrots
This is a great fix it and forget it crockpot meal!

Ingredients
- 2 1/3 cups of “cream of something-ish” soup mix
- 2 tablespoons onion soup mix
- 2 1/4 cups water cans
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme crushed
- 2 pounds pork loin
- 2 large onions sliced
- 2 carrots peeled and roughly chopped
- 4 apples sliced
- 2 tablespoons flour
Instructions
- In a sauce pan add 1/3 cup of dry mix, and then add 1 1/4 cup water, bring to a slow boil, stirring frequently until it has become thickened. Poor this into your slow cooker.
- Then stir in vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire, onion soup mix and thyme. Add the pork, carrots and onions.
- Cover and cook on HIGH for 4 to 5 hours or until the pork is cooked through.
- Add the apples during the last 20 minutes of the cooking time.
- Once you are ready to serve this, remove the pork and the vegetables and set aside in the serving dish.
- In a saucepan over medium-high heat, add about 4 cups of the juice from the crockpot.
- Mix with 2-4 tablespoons of flour and begin to whisk, until the sauce becomes thickened.
- Poor over the meat and vegetables and serve.
Notes
You can use 2 (10 1/2 ounces each ) Campbell’s® Condensed Golden Mushroom Soup or any Mushroom Soup Mix.
Cream of Something-ish Soup Mix
This recipe I adapted from a campbell’s soup recipe. As I have posted before, we have no campbell’s soups here, so I had to create my own cream of something-ish soup mix. And this recipe is a prime example of how you adapt to cooking in different environments!
Also this is another prime example of a picture fail!
