As 2020 came to an end, I was so happy to see it go, mostly because in some ways it was the worst year of crap. Even worse than my last year of med school. But, I was talking with a friend and she made a list of all the positive things that happened in 2020. I thought that’s a great Idea and I needed to do the same.
- Lockdown happened. Lockdown was horrible for some people, but, it was great for us. It was 3 months, of making food the old fashioned way. No stress of work and dealing with people. It actually was the best 3 months of my life.
- I got a diploma in Vedic astrology. That was really awesome, and interesting.
- I started studying Ayurvedic medicina. I had stopped and I was able to pick that back up.
- I bought a biofeedback machine. I had been wanting one for years, but never bought one, because I didn’t have the time to learn how to use it in my practice.
- I wrote a cookbook. And in that process I re-united with an old acquaintance that has become a very dear friend over this year-long process. (the book will be out this month)
- I made a new dear friend.
- Lived through a historic time.
- Got the Covid flu and never went to the doctor.
- Started crocheting again.
- Learned that I needed to take time and do things that really make me happy, everyday.
Goals for 2021:
- Let all the resentment of all the crap that built up in my life, all go.
- Make a Temperature Blanket
- Publish my book
- Build a great practice
- Crochet more
- Read more poetry.
- Shed unwanted baggage.
And that is about it. We are in some semi-lockdown again. So everything is closed.
This morning I woke up and put the moka pot on the stove and when the coffee was finished… I got to thinking, it is the little things in the morning that make me happy. Like a warm cup of coffee and a basket full of yarn!
As well, I finished the beautiful shells baby blanket for my friend and decided to change the blanket pattern I was originally working on.
I am going to make 54 9×9 squares alternating like this.. one with the main color black and one square with the main color red. And I am also trying to not cut the yarn and start a new row, just carrying it over. I hate sewing in the ends!
And here is the picture of the baby blanket I finished.
