Herbs I selected for this adventure

I love a Rotisserie chicken, and it seems that once I get to the grocery store to try to pick one up, they are always sold out…  And cyber Monday being yesterday I entertained the idea of getting a rotisserie appliance.. but, the idea of buying something else to put in my already over crowded kitchen of mine….. I got to researching some stuff… and I read a bunch of pinterest ideas about making a rotisserie chicken in a crock-pot..

And mainly it says, put the chicken in the crockpot and let it go hahah…

So here is what I have tried this evening… with all the ideas I have seen on pinterest.

Chicken Butt stuffed with Herbs

Ingredients:

1 big whole chicken

Your favorite Fresh Herbs
    – I used fresh Rosemary, Thyme and Sage
1 apple cut in half Salt, Pepper and Paprika

Directions:
Get out your crockpot. Ball up 4 pieces of aluminum foil and place them in the bottom of the crockpot. This will be to keep the chicken up on a pedestal.
Wash your chicken in water and take out the bag of parts and discard those.
Stuff the chicken with your fresh herbs and the apple.
Salt, Pepper and Paprika the outside of the chicken.

Ready to crank this puppy up on low

I used the apple, because somewhere in my rolodex of ideas in my brain, I remember putting a apple inside a turkey to cook it.. and I decided turkey was poultry… maybe it would be good..

So, after this has been in the crockpot alllll day.. We came home to a great smelling house.. so I was so excited to eat this.

After taking the lid off of the crockpot.
dinner is served…. I can dissect bodies but, I CANNOT cut up meat hahahaha
