Pistacchio Mousse
This was an idea that came into life last night!
Ingredients
- ½ cup heavy whipping cream
- 4 oz cream cheese softened
- 1/4 cup pistacchio butter no sugar added
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a stand mixer bowl, whip the cream until it holds stiff peaks. Set aside.
- In another mixing bowl, beat together the cream cheese and pistacchio butter until smooth and creamy.
- Add the vanilla and beat until smooth.*
- Gently fold in the whipped cream until no streaks remain.
- Spoon in little dessert glasses.
Notes
1/4 cup sweetener if you need your dessert super sweet. Generally I leave it out. *If your mixture is overly thick, you can add add about 2 tbsp heavy cream to lighten it up.
You can use pistacchio creme, but it has a lot of sugar in it. But sometimes you just need a fix!
