Sweet Tea… in Italia!

Italy, Amazing Food, Love and Wine Y'all!

Soooooooo, maybe 48hours was too long…

it went from cooked to roasted???

So, we strained it through a colander into a big pot…

and it still looked a little burnt… but completely didn’t taste burnt… I was still a little skeptical.. the color just threw me off..

So we deboned the chicken.. and holy crap the bones were soft… really soft..  and the chicken was a bit dry.. but still had a great flavor..

And, Then I had a grand idea to cook up some orzo, and chop up some fresh parsley.. and off to the dinner table this went..

omg.. it’s good.. seriously..

But, the color.. holy crap…. ok, so I googled “bone broth crokpot how long”  (good complete sentence right?)

and it promptly told me “Cook on low and cook for 18-72 hours.”

So, I’m thinking my crockpot was ready yesterday before the veggies turned decaying brown..

I think about things like that.. if it looks like it has remotely even hit the HCL in the stomach.. I’m done.. I’m out…

But, overnight it evaporated about 2 inches… so I think I’ll try again.. and just go for about 30 hours…..

but, It really does taste great…

And that is the end of this little bone broth adventure.. 🙂
