Low Country Boil

Here is how to make a great Low Country Boil!

Ingredients
  

  • 5 lbs small new potatoes or any small variety of potatoes
  • 4 packages smoked kielbasa cut into 2 inch pieces
  • 12 ears corn on the cob broken into halves or thirds
  • 5-6 lbs shrimp deveined and not peeled
  • 3/4 cup Low Country Boil Seasoning see above for recipe

Instructions
 

  • Fill large stock pot about 3/4 of the way full of water.
  • Place on an outdoor cooker and bring water to a boil.
  • Turn to a med-high heat.
  • Add Low Country Boil Seasoning to the water.
  • Place the potatoes into the pot, and cook for 10-45 minute. The cooking time of the potatoes depends on how big your potatoes are.
  • Add corn and kielbasa, cook for about 15 minutes.
  • Add the Shrimp to the pot, and cook until they turn redish in color, usually about 5 to 6 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and drain liquid.
  • You can either dump the low country boil onto a table covered in newspaper, or place in a serving dish.
