Instructions
Pre-heat oven to 340°. Lightly grease and flour a 9" spring-form pan, and set aside.
Peel the pears, and chop two of them into 1/2" cubes, and then slice the other two pears into thin slices and set aside.
In a mixing bowl of a mixer add the eggs and sugar and cream on medium until the mixture is smooth and well incorporated.
Add the Marscapone into the mixture and continue to mix over medium until incorporated.
In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, corn starch, baking powder and baking soda.
Add the flour mixture into the egg mixture and stir with a wooden spoon, once that is mixed well add the oil and stir to combine.
Fold in the cubed pears, and then transfer the batter into the spring-form pan.
Top the cake with the sliced pears.
Place the cake pan in the oven and bake 45 - 60 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean.
Notes
You can use cream cheese for this if you do not have access to marscapone cheese.
