Homemade Fig Spread
This is a thicker sauce and you can use it as a topper for toast or cookies, or just eat it with yogurt. I am a big fan of eating honey and figs in my yogurt.

- 6-8 fresh figs
- 1 oz fresh squeezed orange juice
- 1 1/2 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
- a pinch of salt
In a medium saucepan, add all the ingredients and bring to a boil.
Once it is boiling, reduce the heat to a simmer and stir frequently until about 3/4 of the liquid has evaporated. About 20 minutes.
Once it has evaporated, remove from heat.
Pour the mixture into a food processor and pulse until combined smooth.
