Grilled Orange and Thyme Shrimp

Ingredients
  

  • 2 pounds large shrimp peeled and deveined, tails on
  • 1 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons grated orange zest
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme + fresh sprigs
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper

Instructions
 

  • In a shallow dish or large Ziploc bag, combine shrimp, orange juice, orange zest, garlic, oil, chopped thyme, salt and pepper.
  • Toss to coat shrimp.
  • Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or a few hours.
  • Once the shrimp have marinated, skewer them on skewers.
  • Place skewers onto a preheated grill and cook for about 8-10 minutes on high heat, flipping them half way.
  • Cooking time all depends on the heat of the grill how big the shrimp are.
